Terms and conditions
The purpose of this notice is to outline the policy on the use of social media by the Copyright Board (the Board).
To this day, the only social media accounts managed by the Board are its Twitter accounts @CDA_fr in French and @COP_eng in English. Board's use of social media is an extension of its web presence. This Board social media presence is another way to be transparent and accessible to Canadians, and to disseminate the content posted on its website. Social media accounts are public and are not hosted on Board or Government of Canada servers.
Your interaction with the Board on social media is governed in part by the terms of service or use of the relevant third party social media platform providers. The Board has no control over the terms of service or use of social media platform providers, so it is important for you to be aware of them.
Because social media platforms and their servers are managed by a third party, social media accounts are subject to service interruptions that are beyond the control of the Board. The Board therefore assumes no responsibility for the unavailability of platforms. Also, note that the Board does not collect any personal information about you.
The Board’s social media accounts are managed by the Secretariat, however, they are used for informational purposes only. The Board employees do not have the permission to respond to comments under posts, or to provide legal advice. If you have any questions regarding Board procedures or any other inquiries, please contact us through our website.
